Since 1976 Stokes Bird Guides have been giving readers quality bird and nature information presented in a beautiful, user-friendly format, to inspire a greater connection to nature. Thirty-five guides have been published covering all aspects of nature including field guides to birds, shorebirds, warblers, hummingbirds, orioles, purple martins, bluebirds, bird behavior, bird feeding, bird houses, bird gardening, animal tracking, butterflies, nature in winter, and more. 

Stokes Bird Guides were created by Don and Lillian Stokes whose mission was to deepen an appreciation of birds and nature in their readers that would lead to a desire to conserve and protect the beautiful creatures we share the planet with. Don and Lillian have been award-winning leading figures in the birding world and created the first birding television series on PBS. For decades they have educated the public through lectures, TV and their numerous books.
